Online Training for Youth:
All Venturing Youth and Adults are required to take the Boy Scout and Venturing Youth Protection and Present Certificates of Completion.
Introduction to Leadership Skills for Crews (ILSC)
The purpose of the Introduction to Leadership Skills for Crews course is to teach crew members with leadership positions about their new roles and how to most effectively reach success in that role.
Venturing Goal Setting & Time Management Training Module
Below is the instructor’s guide for the Venturing Goal Setting and Time Management Training Module. This course will provides a fun, interactive learning experience in learning Time Management in a in a 3 ½ hour time period. The presentation of this module can be split up to accommodated to meet the needs of the crew. Completing this training module will fulfills the Venturing Discovery Award requirement for the goal setting-time management training course.
Venturing Mentoring Training (For Crew 75 Members):
Below is the instructor’s guide for the Mentoring for Venturing. This course will provide an interactive learning experience on Mentoring in a in a 2 hours. The presentation of this module can be split up to accommodated to meet the needs of the crew. Completing this training module will fulfills the Venturing Summit Award requirement for the Mentoring training course.
This training is designed to prepare Venturers to effectively manage projects. It leads them through each essential step, including initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing.
Kodiak is oriented around a high adventure trek or trip setting with leadership training built into the six-day program. The course prepares the Venturer or older Boy Scout to be a “servant leader” as they lead their crew or troop. Servant leadership as a philosophy teaches that the leader works with and through a team to accomplish the mission.
Powder Horn is a resource course designed to introduce Scouting’s adults and youth to the exciting high-adventure program possibilities for their unit. The course supports the mission of strengthening units so they can achieve the mission of the Boy Scouts of America. One common denominator of successful courses is that creativity and variety play a role in the delivery of the curriculum. Each course is somewhat different, and that is a good thing.
