Venturing Made Me Who I Am…

I was very active in scouting as a youth. I got my eagle scout, was very active in the OA, did camp staff, NYLT staff, staffing district and council events, and of course helped start a venture crew. This can be a somewhat controversial statement but I honestly value my time in my Venture Crew more than I do my time working on my Eagle Scout award. My crew was filled with so many amazing and supportive people, both youth and adults. It’s honestly because of them and their friendship and support that I learned how to love myself for who I am. – Jay
